- January: Eagle Watch, Mississippi Valley
Welcome Center, LeClaire
- May: Market Days. Sidewalk Sales,
entertainment, demonstrations, plant sales, Amazing Race around Leclaire.
- August: River
Tug Fest (Biggest of the year). Consists of pulling
a 2,400 foot, 680 pound rope that spans the Mississippi River
between Port Byron, Illinois and Le Claire, Iowa.
Also includes a parade, the Rumble over the River Fireworks display
and carnival.
- October: The
Apple Fest at the Mississippi Valley Welcome Center
the second Sunday in October.
Autumn
Market Days,
Sidewalk Sales, entertainment, demonstrations, plant sales, Amazing
Race around Leclaire.
Antique
Tractor Show
on the LeClaire Levee.
- November: Light Up LeClaire
- December: Christmas
in LeClaire, usually on the first weekend of the
month. Festivities include sales at local businesses, craft
fairs, Santa Claus visits, carriage rides, a nativity scene, a Civil
War encampment and more.

Attractions
The
Twilight River Boat which runs from late May until late October,
consists of a two day cruise that sails from Le Claire to Galena,
Illinois. Staying overnight in Galena and sails back to Le
Claire the next day. (A great mini vacation) ! Includes all meals,
activities, lodging. Reservations needed. Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays,
Memorial Day-Mid-October. (800) 331-1467. Along the riverfront in LeClaire,

Oct. 16-May 14. Memorial and tribute to native son William F. "Buffalo
Bill" Cody, as well as a museum of the Mississippi River, steamboat
and pioneer history. Wooden-hull sternwheeler, a national historic landmark,
is on display as well as a model of the "black box" used
on airplanes, which was invented by an Iowan. |

River Boat Pilot
Home Tour
LeClaire's historic bond with the river and the bold men who
tamed the Upper Rapids is still visible in the homes and buildings they
left behind. On May 7, 1979, their homes were recognized as part
of the nine block Cody Road Historic District listed on the National Register
of Historic Places. |

Iowa Narrated one half hour trips on the Hour from 10:00 A.M. through
4:00 P.M. Wednesday through Sunday from Memorial Day through October
