The Public Works Department cuts, cleans up, and hauls off any debris (fallen tree limbs, branches, etc...), from City Streets and Right of Ways following a storm. We will block off roads that are not passable until trees or limbs are safely removed, or if any power lines are down.
Mid American Energy is responsible for removing any trees or limbs that have fallen on their lines. Please call them directly at (800)799-4443 for a line that is down.
Unfortunately, due to lack of equipment (i.e. chipper, etc...,) a location in LeClaire to haul debris away, and lack of manpower, City crews are NOT able to haul away debris from residential homes from storm damage.
Residents can haul any debris to the Davenport Compost Facility (open M-F 7:30AM to 5:30PM; Phone (563-328-7225)) or burn any tree debris on your own property (unless a burn ban is in place).
