Electronic waste

Residents of the City of LeClaire can now recycle electronic waste (e‐waste) free of charge at Waste Commission of Scott County’s (Commission) Electronic Demanufacturing Facility in Davenport. 

Residents can deliver e‐waste to the Electronic Demanufacturing Facility, 1048 East 59th Street in Davenport from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday‐Friday. Residents will be required to provide proof of residency in the City of LeClaire to recycle the items at no charge. 

Electronic waste is anything with a circuit board or cathode ray tube (CRT) and includes items such as: 

  • TVs
  • Computers
  • Monitors
  • Laptops
  • Stereos
  • Radios
  • VCRs
  • DVD players
  • Video game equipment
  • Cell phones
  • Printers and scanners

Businesses are charged 20 cents per pound for TVs, computers and laptops. All other electronic waste is free of charge. For more information visit the county Waste Commission website or call 563‐823‐0119.
