The City of LeClaire has been monitoring and continues to make necessary adjustments in our Departments and Facilities to help keep both LeClaire Residents and City Staff as safe as possible.  Please check the following updates from each City Department.

LeClaire City Hall - LeClaire City Hall has now been CLOSED until further notice.  Staff will continue working during this time.  Please feel free to call City Hall at (563) 289-4242, or email the City Administrator at:  with your questions or concerns as needed. Remember you can also sign up to pay your LeClaire Utility Bills ONLINE by clicking on the following link:   LeClaire Utility Bill Online Payment Signup

LeClaire Community Library - The LeClaire Community Library is CLOSED to the public until further notice.  For more information concerning library programs, scheduling, etc... click on the following link:  LeClaire Library link

LeClaire Police Department -  In an effort to protect our Police, Firefighters, and Medics, we ask that if you call 911 for any reason, please let the dispatchers know if you are experiencing any flu like symptoms.  Thank you!

In response to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, the LeClaire Police Department would like to limit the amount of foot traffic and face to face contact in our lobby.  For your safety, and for the safety of our staff, we ask that you call our department (563-289-4242 ext. 1) or email our front desk (Email Police Department Front Desk) BEFORE stopping in just to see if it is a matter that can be effectively handled over the phone instead of in person.  Our front desk will still be staffed during normal business hours and officers will still be on duty 24/7. Officers will be responding to all calls for service like normal.  However, we will be doing our best to maintain a safe distance when at all possible.  We would like to remind our residents that there should be nobody going door to door talking to you about COVID-19 or offering “free testing” for the virus. If someone comes to your door wanting to discuss these things, do not let them in and immediately call 911 so that police can respond and handle the situation. So far there have been no reports of this in LeClaire, however, we have heard of similar scams going on nearby. Please don’t hesitate to call with any questions.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

LeClaire Fire Department - In an effort to protect our Firefighters, Police, and Medics, we ask that if you call 911 for any reason, please let the dispatchers know if you are experiencing any flu like symptoms.  Thank you!

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, LCFD will be taking the following actions to maintain operations until things subsides. We are following the direction and information set by the City of LeClaire, State of Iowa, CDC, Iowa Department of Public Health, Scott County Health Department and QC COVID-19 Coalition.  We must maintain the responsiveness of LCFD for day to day emergencies and operations during these times.

  · All uses of our Fire Station by outside entities shall be postponed unless approved by the City Administrator and/or Fire Chief.
  · All community room reservations thru Mid April will be postponed.
  · All Station Tours and Pubic Education Events will be postponed.

LeClaire Rec Center and Weight Room - The LeClaire Rec Center and Weight Room is CLOSED until further notice.  Once it is safe to reopen, we will work on extending dates for use.  If you have any further questions, please contact City Hall (563) 289-4242.

LeClaire Parks, Levee, and Recreation - The LeClaire Parks and Rec Board has CANCELLED the Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for this year at Huckleberry Park.  The LeClaire Parks and Rec Board has DELAYED the LeClaire Youth Soccer League season until further notice.  ALL PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT (HUCKLEBERRY PARK, HOLLYHOCK PARK, AND SCOUT PARK), BALLFIELDS, PAVILIONS (PARK AND LEVEE) AND PUBLIC RESTROOMS ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  Watch for additional information, cancellations, and rescheduling dates on this page.

LeClaire Wastewater Treatment / Sewer Department - Due to COVID-19 and potential toilet paper shortages, please remember to THROW AWAY and NOT FLUSH the following products:

 • Baby wipes
 • Cleaning wipes
 • Paper towels
 • Tissues
 • Disposable diapers or nursing pads
 • Feminine hygiene products
 • Personal care products
 • Make-up remover pads and wipes

Flushing these items can result in a sewer backup.  For additional reminders, click on the following link:   Avoid Sewer Backups
